Contrast Checker
The WashU Web theme ensures that all text, especially text on a colored background, meets accessibility requirements. To do this, all color combinations are checked through the contrast checker on the WebAim.org – Contrast Checker website. The WashU Web Theme adheres to WCAG AA which stipulates a contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
WCAG 2.1
The WashU Web Theme uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to design, code, and display content that is more accessible to the general public. This includes those who have vision disabilities, hearing disabilities, or other impairments that may otherwise restrict their ability to view and understand the content on our sites.
